Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of BenchClock. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use BenchClock for a team or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your sign-in method, and activity under your account. Notify BenchClock through the contact form if you suspect unauthorized access. Team permissions are role scoped, and you may use only the information and controls made available to your authorized role.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse BenchClock, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, probe or bypass security, introduce harmful code, scrape the service in a way that burdens it, impersonate others, or use it to violate law or another person’s rights. You must not expose private team information or spectator links without appropriate authority.

Athlete and child information

You are responsible for having the authority and any coach, parent, or guardian consent required to enter, manage, or share athlete information, especially information about children. BenchClock is a tracking tool and does not replace your organization’s safeguarding, consent, or recordkeeping responsibilities.

Your content

You retain your rights in names, rosters, match records, messages, and other content you submit. You grant BenchClock a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service and comply with law. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide the content.

Service changes and availability

Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued. BenchClock does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, permanent storage, or that every statistic or timing result will be accurate. Keep any records your team independently requires. No billing service is currently implemented; any future paid offering would require separate pricing and applicable terms.

Suspension and termination

BenchClock may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, investigate misuse, or enforce these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through the contact form. Team match history may remain with the team as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, BenchClock is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that are not expressly stated here. BenchClock is not responsible for coaching, playing-time, safety, medical, eligibility, or safeguarding decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, BenchClock will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, revenue, or opportunity arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any non-waivable statutory or consumer rights.

Privacy and general terms

The Privacy Policy explains information handling. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These terms may be updated as the service changes; continued use after an update means the updated terms apply to future use.
